Welcome to Lido Isle
An intimate residential island located in Newport Harbor, Lido Isle was one of the first master-planned communities in California. The name Lido Isle pays homage to Lido di Venezia, which is near Venice in Italy. Needless to say, much of the architecture showcases Mediterranean Revival design resembling home-styles from places like Barcelona, Genoa, Nice, and Ithaca.
The whimsical neighborhood includes two main drives, Via Lido Nord and Via Lido Soud, where homes line up in proper European fashion, surrounded by beaches where small waves gently break against the sand. Although this area is placed on a small island, it remains within walking distance of many local treasures in the Newport Beach area such as Lido Marina Village and the Cannery Village, which are filled with shops and restaurants.
Fun Fact: Lido Isle was not considered part of Newport Beach until 1906.
